Certainty of Life
Psalm 3:5 (NIV)
"I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me."

In today's world of danger, fear, and uncertainty this is a most wonderful affirmation of faith. It is a very precious promise. Since God is our refuge, our security, we need not be afraid or worry for our lives. Since we are in Christ, our lives belong to Him and are maintained by Him, the Sustainer of all life.

When we are in a saving relationship with Christ nothing can separate us from His grace, which works in us to strengthen our faith and provide us with the gift of indescribable peace. Even when our mortality finally catches up with us one way or another, and we depart from our activities under the sun, continued fellowship with Jesus remains. For He is more than willing and able to bring us into His presence to eternally be with Him.
