From Red to White

Isaiah 1:18 (NIV)
"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though you sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."

God shows His great love for us by offering to sinners this invitation to meet together with Him so that He may cleanse us and reconcile us back to Himself. Our sins are like blood stains that cling permanently to our clothing, and no matter what we do they eliminate them, they remain to dirty us and make us unclean. They stand as accusers of our unrighteousness.

But the Lord seeks a reunion with those who seek Him in repentance. God washes clean those who, no matter their past sins, return to him with a contrite heart. He wants to reason together with us so that we may be reconciled to Him. So that through this reconciliation the crimson stains of our sins may be made as white as snow.

Let the guilt of the past sins and mistakes go, for with true repentance, the Lord forgives and leads to newness of life. Let it go and experience the cleansing power of God's grace and forgiveness.
