Easily Led Astray

Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV)
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

In Proverbs 9:16, the simple are those who waver and are easily led astray. It seems that many times in my spiritual journey I waver and easily go astray. These are times that try men's souls. I know that severe persecution is just around the corner for American Christians. When we are in this state of wavering or being led astray, we need to feast on the bread and wine of the word of God, which will give strength to our souls. In Proverbs 9:10, we need to have the worshipful and reverent fear of the Lord, which is the choicest part of wisdom. In Proverbs 9:17, we are easily led astray when we partake of the pleasures of sin, which lead to the spiritual detriment of our souls and distances us from God. Lord, please help us to long for the spiritual wine and bread You freely provide and not the stolen pleasures of sin.
