Are You a Chameleon Christian?

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."

A chameleon is a lizard creature which resides in warm climates, such as Texas, Florida, etc. When the chameleon senses danger or when its enemy approaches them, they merely camouflage themselves with its surroundings.

I am going to remove you from the surroundings of the chameleon to your workplace. If one of your co-workers tells a juicy, dirty joke, how do you react? Do you laugh with the rest of your co-workers, or do you express your disapproval of a foul joke? According to the verse, we should be ready to defend Christ by our godly conduct.

Being a true Christian today isn't popular. There are many people who are churchgoers, but not true Christians. A true Christian must walk and talk the Gospel.

Do you know your personal testimony well enough, so that when someone asks you about Jesus, are you ready to share, or do you hide the fact that you are a follower of Christ?  According to the verse we are to be ready to testify for the Gospel in season and out of season.

In conclusion, don't be a chameleon Christian by blending in with the world standards. Come out of your comfortable surroundings and live like Jesus Christ!
