When the Lord wants you to do something, He’ll make your life miserable until you accomplish it. Jonah tried his best to get away, but God’s will was stronger than Jonah’s desire. Why don’t we heed God’s voice? What about witnessing to the neighbor? Teaching a Sunday school class? Ministering to the elderly? What’s holding you back from doing God’s will? Could it be laziness or rebellion? We shouldn’t allow our flesh to stand in the way of God’s plan for our lives. Remember God wants our obedience and not our sacrifice. When we do God’s will, He promises that He will bless us and also the people we minister to.
