Anything less than this total, lifetime commitment between one man and one woman falls short of God's law on marriage. It makes no difference whether that falling short is heterosexual or homosexual fornication between unmarried people (even consenting adults!) or adultery by one who is married to another. Any transgression or falling short of God's law on marriage is sin (see Romans 6:23).

Some may object that such a definition of sin is too legalistic. They may say that they prefer the definition of sin that is found in Romans 14:23, "Whatever is not of faith is sin".

What is faith? Is faith the confidence that God will accept us and whatever we may do, even if we insist on living in rebellion against His expressed will as stated in the Word of God? Or is faith the confidence that God will fulfill His promises to forgive our sins, cleanse us from guilt and impute His righteousness to us if we will confess our sinfulness as well as our specific sins?

True faith is based upon the clear promises of God. Presumption is based upon the wishful thinking of human beings under the delusions of the devil.

Do those who claim that God accepts and sanctions their homosexual behavior believe they will continue to practice this behavior in the new earth where there will be no sin?

The Word of God is crystal clear on this subject. Revelation 21:27 clearly states that no one who practices abomination will enter the New Jerusalem. Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 clearly state that homosexual acts are an abomination. 1 Corinthians 6:9 clearly states that those who act as male prostitutes and sodomites or homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Those who believe they will be saved even if they deliberately and willfully continue to practice sins which God has declared to be an abomination are being deluded -- either by their own wishful thinking or by delusions of the devil.

Why is it any more unreasonable for God to expect a man or woman with a homosexual orientation to live a celibate life than for God to expect an unmarried man or woman with a heterosexual orientation to live a celibate life?

If we accept the widely-proclaimed "logic" of the homosexual activists, we who are spiritual leaders and teachers will have no basis upon which to teach sexual abstinence to anyone.

God places no greater burden upon the homosexual when He commands him/her to abstain from sex than upon the heterosexual when He commands him/her to abstain from sex.

There are thousands, even millions, of unmarried heterosexuals who abstain from sex their whole lives. Upon what basis do the homosexuals insist that God must grant them an exception to His requirement of sexual abstinence?
